To add two-step verification to your Gmail account, follow these steps:
Go to the Google Account security page: Sign in to your Gmail account and click on your profile picture in the top-right corner. Select "Google Account" from the drop-down menu and then click on "Security" from the left-hand menu.
Enable two-step verification: Under the "Signing in to Google" section, click on "2-Step Verification". Then, click on the "Get started" button and enter your password.
Choose your second step: You can choose to receive a verification code via text message, voice call, or Google Authenticator app. Select the option you prefer and click on "Try it now". Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your second step.
Turn on two-step verification: Once you have set up your second step, click on the "Turn on" button to enable two-step verification for your Gmail account.
Confirm your settings: Google may ask you to confirm your phone number or recovery email address. Follow the on-screen instructions to do so.
Once two-step verification is enabled, you will be required to enter a verification code each time you sign in to your Gmail account from an unfamiliar device or location. This adds an extra layer of security to your account and helps protect your sensitive information from unauthorized access.
