To port your mobile number from Jio to Airtel, you need to follow these steps:
Send an SMS from your Jio number to 1900 with the message "PORT" followed by your 10-digit mobile number that you want to port to Airtel.
You will receive a Unique Porting Code (UPC) from Jio. This code is valid for 15 days and can be used to complete the porting process.
Visit the nearest Airtel store or authorized retailer with your Aadhaar card and the UPC that you received from Jio.
Fill out the Mobile Number Porting (MNP) form and submit it along with the required documents.
You will be issued a new SIM card from Airtel.
Insert the new SIM card in your phone and wait for it to get activated. It may take up to 48 hours for the porting process to be completed.
Once the porting is complete, your Jio SIM card will stop working, and your Airtel SIM card will become active with your old mobile number.
It is important to note that there may be a short period of downtime during the porting process, and you may not be able to receive calls or messages during this time. It is also advisable to clear any outstanding dues on your Jio account before initiating the porting process.
